The MM3684 series are protection ICs developed using a high-voltage CMOS process, designed to safeguard rechargeable Lithium-ion or Lithium-polymer batteries. They provide comprehensive protection features including overcharge, secondary overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent (both charging and discharging), and temperature protection. These ICs are capable of monitoring and protecting 3- to 5-cell battery packs. The internal circuitry includes a voltage detector, a reference voltage source, a delay-time control circuit, a logic circuit, and other essential components.
